Designed by female bushcraft instructors, this unique weekend course explores both traditionally female-centered skills — like herbal medicine and fibrecraft — and essential bushcraft techniques that are often taught in ways less accessible to women. We aim to reshape the narrative and offer a safe, inclusive and empowering space to learn, grow, and connect.
Join us for a transformative 3-day Women’s Bushcraft Course, where you’ll gain essential wilderness skills such as fire making, knife and axe use, foraging, and shelter building — all within a supportive and collaborative community. This isn’t a simplified or ‘softened’ version of bushcraft; it’s a bold, inclusive experience that honours the deep, diverse roots of women’s roles in nature connection and survival.
Through hands-on workshops, shared meals, and fireside stories, you’ll not only build practical skills but also confidence, sisterhood, and a renewed sense of self. This course is perfect for beginners and experienced outdoorswomen alike.
We address practical and personal aspects of \”being in the woods while female\” — including hygiene, privacy, and natural health solutions — offering space for open discussion and real tools. You’ll explore wilderness living not just as survival, but as nourishment for body, mind and soul.
Throughout history, women have contributed a vast and often unacknowledged set of skills to communal life — from healing and craft to storytelling and knowledge keeping. In the modern world, many of those threads have been forgotten or dismissed. This course aims to gently reweave those traditions, offering space for reconnection, strength and presence.
“Invariably the deities of the old ways become the demons in the new; what was good becomes evil. Woman, as chief representative of the old ways, suffers the consequences of man’s fall from grace.”
— Jeanne Achterberg, Woman as Healer (1990)
